CDC was looking to improve the clarity and coverage of their existing CCTV system as well as update their Access control system.
The project entails installing of approximately 36 cameras and 14 access control points. The cameras installed were a combination of indoor and outdoor cameras. The biggest challenge faced was finding new cable routes as the existing system had been designed installed of plan. High resolution day and night cameras were installed in strategically located areas. The software installed has the capability to be scaled up to include CCTV analytics as well as control the access on a singular platform. This was a very critical to the project as access to certain areas of the building is highly restricted due to the pathogens they may contain. Therefore, it was necessary to have a proven system with high level of integrity.
